The Doc'n Roll Jury Award for Documentary of the Year is an annual honour chosen by our Festival Jury. They bestow the award to the best of the best of the music documentary films screened at our annual Doc'n Roll London festival. 

The 2023 winner is Lost Angel: The Genius of Judee Sill, directed by Brian Lindstrom and Andy Brown.

The 2023 jury also awarded Honourable Mention to Free Party: A Folk History, directed by Aaron Trinder.

Four other films were shortlisted for the 2023 award: The Session Man: Nicky Hopkins; Even Hell Has Its Heroes: Earth; TLC Forever; and Miucha, The Voice of Bossa Nova.
