Dir. Antoine Polin, France, 2021, 67 min

In Boston, in his semi-basement apartment whose atmosphere appears to seep straight out of an old film noir, the great American pianist Ran Blake leads a solitary life and continues to shape his unclassifiable playing. For over 70 years, he has been driven by his obsession with cinema, which nourishes his music in a unique dialogue between these two art forms.

Event supported by the BFI, awarding funds from the National Lottery.
